Earthquake Update: August 21, 2021

Update - All our Girls are SAFE, and Melissa's Place survived the impact of the earthquake.

As of now we do not know if Melissa’s Place survived the earthquake. We do know that the epicenter was near the town of Beaumont where the orphanage is located. There are reports of numerous mudslides which is of concern as the orphanage is built on the side of a small mountain. We also know that hospitals are full in the area.

The pictures below show some of the damage in the town of Jeremie, Haiti, which is about 25 miles from Melissa’s Place.
